Area Lead System Engineer needed for major aerospace contractor in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Provide technical leadership with the design and implementation of complex land mobile radio LMR systems for the US West Area. Systems involve the company and vendor equipment, and typically include IP networks, microwave links, wireless data, RF antenna subsystems, dispatch and/or other custom design peripheral subsystems. Lead system design reviews for bids/proposals for opportunities to ensure proposed solutions meet requirements for technical integrity, completeness and feasibility of implementation/execution. Mentor, train, evaluate, and develop other implementation systems engineers. Instill process discipline focused on customer satisfaction and product quality. Qualifications: Comprehensive understanding of complex IP based land mobile radio LMR systems which include networks, site civils and construction, and installation of telecommunications equipment. Comprehensive understanding of the Public Safety and Professional Communications marketplace 15+ years technical experience in Land Mobile Radio LMR, site civils, and installation of telecommunications equipment. BSEE, BSCE or similar technical degree. Approximately 40% domestic travel anticipated. Experience with P 25. The salary range is 90-151K plus benefits and relocation.
