Electrical Engineer within the Electromagnetic Group of a major aerospace company is needed. Will be working in a highly visible role interacting with all levels of engineering, product management, and purchasing. In this position, you are responsible for, but not limited to, the analysis, design, and testing of antennas, electromagnetic components, and EMI for Military Radios. It is important that you have the ability to work well as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. Evaluation, test, and analysis of antenna systems from 2 MHz to 2 GHz. Perform design tasking in a small group setting. Generate/refine test plans and other required documentation. Develop systematic plan and work with vendors toward cost reduction. Qualifications: BSEE MSEE degree with a minimum of 3-5 years experience is required. 3-5 years experience in electromagnetic modeling, with past experience in NEC, HFSS, Spice or other similar numerical codes. 3-5 years experience with test equipment, such as, signal generation, network analyzers, and spectral analyzers. One or more years experience investigating EMI/EMC and collocation issues, identify solutions, and report findings effectively to responsible parties. Security clearance preferred. Candidates Must Have: BSEE, electromagnetic modeling and Signal generation, Antenna Systems, Test Equipment, EMI/EMC. Additional Information: This position is working with Antennas for Radios NEC, HFSS, Spice or other similar numerical codes. The salary range is 71-88K plus benefits and relocation. Major international engineering company is seeking a Senior Protection and Control Engineer, in North Carolina, to lead protection and control activities in the Substation Automation Systems Engineering Department which consists of automation, protection, control, communication, and SCADA engineers and designers. As a Senior Protection and Control Engineer, you will be involved in all phases of the system protection development and design for a variety of electrical substations from medium voltage up to 765 kV. Design of electrical protection and control systems for generation, transmission and distribution systems with emphasis on project costs and quality. Development of complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems, including AC one-line and three-line diagrams, DC schematics, logic and functional diagrams, panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, relaying equipment specifications and bill of materials. Candidate Must Have: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering; Master of Science preferred; Minimum of eight years relevant protection and control engineering experience in electrical power systems or industrial automation systems domain; Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems related to protection and control; Comprehends the benefits of modern Substation Automation communication standards and protocols. e.g. IEC 61850, DNP 3.0.
